Pauleanna Reid has been around entrepreneurship as long as she can remember thanks to her dad, who was an entrepreneur. But it was when the Ontario, Canada, native went to college that she really began to see the freedom that entrepreneurship could offer her in her own life. During her second year at Sheridan College, she dropped out and became committed to getting an education by surrounding herself with people who could mentor her and help her move forward. For Pauleanna, who had been bullied as a child and often felt isolated, it was for the good of her mental wellness, and a time when she felt ready to take control of her own life.

Today, Pauleanna is an author and speaker who owns multiple businesses — including her millennial mentorship company, New Girl on the Block, and her writing agency, Writer’s Blok.
