She studied computer science at the University of Pennsylvania and learned how to apply what she learned to the financial markets. But unlike her classmates, who were anxious to work at the hottest new tech companies in 2004 (think Google and Amazon in the early days), she bravely decided to skip those opportunities and was determined to become a stock trader. More than 100 interviews later, she landed her first job in the financial sector at Wachovia Bank.
When the novelty wore off, though, Mansi realized she wanted to do more to support the everyday customers with their wealth management needs. The result, her AI-driven asset management firm, qplum, which provides holistic financial planning and positions itself as “AI-powered investing with human-powered support.” Mansi is the co-founder of qplum, which today has more than $55 million under management.
